Another image that loops in my subconscious when I think of the California coast. If you've never done it, I highly suggest driving the PCH. Thank me later. Here we have the Point Vicente Lighthouse on the Palos Verdes Peninsula just north of Long Beach. It has been guiding ships safely across the coast for nearly a century since it was built in 1926.

I knew nothing of its existence when I stumbled upon it while on a drive exploring my new surroundings after moving to Long Beach. The grounds were closed, but I had a killer sunset and a drone so that wasn't gonna stop me. In my lonely ventures to the coast, it was easy to imagine stepping into a place beyond time, where it damns into a gentle stream instead of the rapids that normally make the years go by in the blink of an eye. The ocean's lullaby and the long shadows of sun-kissed palms inject a warm sedative that makes you want to linger just a little bit longer. Departing is such sweet sorrow not unlike what it must have felt for the fellowship of the ring upon leaving Lothlórien. The whole company mourning a deficit as they row south on the Anduin towards doom, danger, and duty.

Luckily for those who buy this print, you'll never have to leave. You can keep that feeling in your heart every morning upon waking or when entering your office. The perfect piece for those who love seascapes, the California Coast, and warm vibes.
