Discover the whimsical charm of the 'Face House' in Kyoto's back alleys, a unique piece of architecture that lights up the night with its playful facade. I stumbled upon it while going for a walk as I entered the city. I got to my hotel room quite early in the afternoon. The light wasn't very appealing for any type of "serious" photography so I opted to go for a walk, get familiar with my surroundings, and scout anything interesting to shoot under better light. I found this architectural gem and it jumped to the top of my list as I knew this would be something completely different than the temples most of the tourists were flocking to. I'd shoot those too, but I'll never say "no" to something unique. The building is located within a maze of back alleys mostly traveled by locals and by the time the sun was gone, the streets were all but deserted. I was the only soul around for what felt like hours, and I wouldn't have it any other way. A stranger wandering in a strange land.

This photograph captures the building at dusk, highlighting its glowing windows that resemble eyes and mouth, giving it a distinctly human-like expression. Ethereal haze sliding into the street. The "limited" edition of this print features a lone silhouette of a man documenting a moment occurring just out of frame. Perfect for enthusiasts of architectural photography, quirky designs, and Kyoto's "off the beaten path" aesthetic, this art print brings a touch of creativity and humor into your space. It can also provide a sense of mystery for those who don't mind the company of the unknown.

The standard offerings will be limited with The "Limited" options available in quantities of 1
