Step into the spiritual heart of Japan with this awe-inspiring photograph of Mount Fuji at sunrise, framed by a traditional Torii gate. The soft morning light casts a warm glow over the landscape, enhancing the soft beauty of Fuji's snow-capped peak and the sleepy lake below. This print captures the essence of Japanese spirituality and nature, making it a perfect addition for those who appreciate cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes.

Capturing this shot required a 3 am wake-up call as I had to hike up a mountain trail that required two hours of walking and hiking from my hotel in Lake Kawaguchi. No Uber in those parts. And of course, I needed to be there right before sunrise so I could avoid the herds of misbehaving tourists that inevitably ruin the most popular experiences in Japan. Luckily there were only a small handful of photographers present this morning. The path to through Kawaguchi is pitch black at night as there are no street lights and I won't lie: there were times hiking this trail that I was a bit scared and jumpy feeling like I was walking through the blighted forests of Mirkwood in Tolkien's middle earth. Would I be jumped by orcs? Or just nearly piss myself when a deer shot out of the brush in the darkness and almost ran me over. I am happy nobody was around to hear me yelp.

Add a touch of Japan's sacred beauty to your space with this captivating art print. And you too can reminisce about the journey to get here.

Climbing Mt Fuji Photographer at Mt. Fuji Influencers at Mt. Fuji

Ascending to the spot where the photo of Mt. Fuji was taken required several hours of hiking in pitch blackness. Once I got closer to the top, I encountered some other photographers making the same journey and we finished the trek together. I always enjoy documenting the humanity that makes these moments special. Of course I had to get an obligatory selfie for myself, and my new buddy, Chris was up to the task. I mean...can you blame me? Mt. Fuji Literally dwarfs everything in its presence. I don't look my best here. Weeks of rough sleep, not eating enough and walking 30k steps a day will make you drop some serious weight in no time. I went right back to bulking upon coming home lol
