Driver's Ed

from $500.00

Art and Urban life mix in this captivating scene of a speeding train passing by the Red Sphere of The Ebisu Driving School in Tokyo's Ebisu District. A far cry from the driver's ed I recall in my highschool parking lot. Daily commutes framed by architectural landmarks are a way of life in this city and this architectural highlight is an example of a truly unique Japanese aesthetic. Kind of reminds me of something you'd see built by the Capsule Corp in Dragonball, and now I want to summon Shenron to make one for me. Taken after some other sunrise photography plans were rained out and I decided to explore a bit of the Ebisu neighborhood. Climbed the fence of a pedestrian walkway and hand-held my camera as I waited for a speeding train. The morning storms clashing with the rising sun created dramatic clouds and soft directional light that filled the scene with an ethereal warmth. It's my favorite type of lighting in nature and I never refuse a chance to make something with it.

An ideal art piece for those who love motion mixed with unorthodox Japanese architecture.
