Explore the interior of Lincoln Road Garage, an architectural gem in Miami Beach designed by Herzog & de Meuron. This image captures the dramatic interplay of concrete geometry, light, and shadow within the open-air structure. The design's bold lines and robust materials exemplify modern brutalist architecture, creating a functional yet artistic space that elevates the concept of a parking garage.

This was a very fulfilling personal project for me for several reasons. It was my first large scale, intentional photo project that I was compelled to make by nothing more than my love for the craft, and one that opened a few doors for client work down the line. I learned that clients hire you for what they see you pour your passion into, even if they then want you to create something basic and vanilla for them. It was also the last thing I photographed in Miami before moving to California in the middle of the 2020 Lockdown. Because tourism and work life was pretty much dead, I had the garage to myself for two days I spent exploring and shooting it. I got to know it well and have fond memories watching the sunset from the open air balconies as I contemplated the new life that awaited me on the west coast.
